Liberty Global and five of its operating companies, including VM02, located across the UK, Europe and North America, last year carried out a Vibe DE&I survey with its 22,000 employees. The insight gained from it underpinned and informed the organisation's global DE&I strategy by understanding the lived experience of their employees across six diversity characteristics. This measured and benchmarked the presence of DE&I behaviours within each operating company’s culture.
Following the reporting phase, where we presented the Vibe DEI reports to the board, senior leadership teams and ERGs, we recently undertook a number of employee and leader forums to open up the debate and to help improve diversity of thought and inclusive conversations around DE&I in the workplace.
The main aim was to myth bust, build confidence and above all else improve the relationship between colleagues and senior management so more advanced and fluid conversations happen on a regular basis, ensuring DE&I is part of the everyday operations at Liberty Global.
It was a pleasure to deliver and to have such a rich and rewarding debate with engaged and diverse audiences.
