In June we had the pleasure of working with Capita’s Technology Software Solutions (TSS) department to design, develop and host a 3-hour interactive event for the top 60 leaders around the theme of collaboration.
Capita’s Technology Software Solutions (TSS) department is a globally shared service, responsible for delivering innovation and digital transformation for our businesses and clients. The 60 leaders oversee a team of 4,500 colleagues shaping digital technology solutions that improve how clients and colleagues work across five areas of subject matter expertise: IT & networks; software; service excellence; policy governance & CISO; and strategy & transformation.
Internally, TSS have a large, global and dedicated team who support all aspects of our IT operations, from service desk to cyber security.
Simon Kevan, an organisational psychologist and specialist in workplace relationships hosted and mediated the session with ease pulling out key points and inviting people to speak in a flow that made sense helping the group to hear from everyone on the team.
Simon and his team have an ongoing relationship with Capita whereby they use their Vibe 360 as part of the Capita’s leaders passport to support leaders in being great leaders. One of the core pillars is collaboration so was a natural fit.
The Capita in-house support team helped to co-create the session to ensure it was fun, reflective, memorable and helpful for the leaders both in terms of getting to know each other better but also in terms of the takeaways they could use back in the field to support them in their role.
TSS had been particularly collaborative due to a recent cyber-attack which put the department under pressure. This however helped them to excel at collaboration within the team, cross functionally with Capita colleagues and clients alike.
The session was off to a great start with a video of thanks and a fun icebreaker, followed by some helpful models, breakout sessions, personification exercises, personality preferences, emotive storytelling and lots of great content, hints and tips to take back into the business.
